Do houses actually protect you?
Alright, I've yet to manage to actually build much due to Raptors, but do houses actually keep them out if they are hunting around outside?

Some people have reported being attacked through walls by larger dinosaurs.

Even that doesn't happen to you though, just because you're in a house that doesn't mean you're safe. I smacked a turtle and bit off more than I could chew so I ran back to my house to hide. The thing followed me and destroyed the house, then killed me.

Just dont find a dinosaur and run to you´re house cause if it can´t attack you it will attack you´re house if you´re near it. And in case you don´t believe me there´s some screenshots on my profile of how my first base got eaten by a T-Rex.

Dinosaurs can bust down walls even small Dilos will attack a wall till its destroyed to get to you. This happened to me yesterday. I was attacked by a group of 4 dilos ran inside my thatch hut I could hear them attacking something. After about 3 or 4 minutes the wall between them and me collapsed and they rushed in.

I've had a T-Rex tear an entire house to shreds, destroying a chest with contents and killing my offline buddy in the progress (managed to attack through the walls when they were still standing, too). Smaller dinosaurs (such as raptors), however, seem to de-aggro reliably after a bit of attacking the house you've fled into.
Yeah I watched my buddy get eaten through the wall of our house by Dilos. I think they might have destroyed our house and killed us as well when we logged off .

It appears one would need house or fort mounted 50 calibur BMG rifle turrets to stave
off big dinosaur rampages.
Maybe that could be a 'end game' development down the road.

What I'd like to see though, is dino's have a sense of fear of fire.
If I surround my hacienda with fire poles it would be great if that would keep them
at bay. In particular the highly annoying bronto class stompers that clod about
the house when I'm trying to take a nap.

Now if ya piss (anger for PC police twits) one off and flee to the house, the fire poles would not work, is the way I'd do it if I was calling the programming shots.

It is also highly annoying to see their big tails swish thru the house walls due
to clipping . If that big ass bronto tail swings thru the walls, give it real physics
so it flattens the building.

Stegasarus , all of em, give em a sense of respect for fire. I'm deluded , what do we
know of dinosuars these days?

.

Worse, I had an Arg tear through my house to get to me. I was hiding under the foundation.
