Items in storage should spoil much slower
Items put in storage shouldn't spoil, or should spoil at a much slower rate than in your inventory. It's a huge pain in the ass trying to get enough narco berries to tame a dino, and then log off for an hour or two and half of them are gone. Or gathering some meat, only to come back and it's all spoiled, making all that time gathering wasted. I shouldn't be punished for not being able to play 24/7

This would render the refigerator useless.

Your best bet for early food storage is to tame a dino. All food on them spoils 75% slower. Better than nothing until they add lower tier food preservation.

Not if it's balanced correctly. Though I'd much rather see a pantry as a level ~10-15 item that keeps food fresh for a bit longer. As it is now, storing your food in a dino for preservation seems like it's unintended behavior.

They could add ways to prapare foods like drying and salting that would make it last irl days.
(Not the timer, just the stacks)

the owned things shouldn't spoil anyways if you are not ingame. not everyone has the time to play 24/7 ;)

You know, I sorta agree. A simple pantry box would keep things a bit cleaner and cooler and mite extend the life of the food a little bit. Great idea! Wouldnt have to be anywhere close to a refrig. Just a little extension.

Make a mortar > turn it into narcotics, problem solved.

I don't really have a problem with that. What I do have a problem with is spending hours gathering materials, then having to think about spending a few more hours taming a dino. I don't really have the time or the want to spend 5-7 hours in the game at a time, so I log off and take some time off, only to come back and see that half of my time was wasted due to spoiling. A game that actively wastes your time isn't something I really want to continue playing. They need to fix this. All they have to do is change the spoil rate inside containers.
