Force server to save?

I had to restart my server for an update yesterday, and we lost about 8 min worth of stuff. Is there anyway to save right before a restart??

Problem is, you have to be on the server via the game to perform those steps to save t he game. We NEED a way to save the server when we cant log onto it via the game. Because when the pacth comes out, you can no longer access the server untill patched via in game. :(

if you just hit the X in the top right of the server client it will force a save i have never had a roll back yet

i take it your using some kind of control panel from a rent a slot host?

I am running on a macbook pro in front of me. Said the server client, can just hit X and it should auto save as it closes? Didn't seem to work when we updated yesterday.

Bump, closing the ShooterGameServer.exe process does not seems to also force the server to save the current world state.

It's a valid point. Server app really does need an RCON of sorts. I am sure the devs are working on it. So many other client base issue to work on first though. All in good time.

Don't force close it in task manager if you are, just hit the X on the top left of the server when you do close it.

Team-Exodia. When you hit the X to close the server, it will auto save the server for you.

Why the bump? This is an old thread. If you are using the proper tools/commands you can force it to save already.

Take a look at Arcon or other RCON related tools etc. Also look at the admin commands. I've never had an issue with the server not saving or rollbacks etc.
