Can't move after spawning!

I'm having the strangest bug ..;I cant move after having spawn after dying in water...I see my character but no keys function expect left and right and when I make my avatar prone it never gets up again...I tried leaving and logging onto the game again but nothing works..I'm stuck!!
Please help it's first time i have this issue after having played all day on local server

Sounds like maybe your keymaps got screwed up or something. Are you in a local singleplayer game, or online?

I believe it's key mapping but dunno what to do...

Please try deleting the files here:

\Steam\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Saved

Make a backup of them just in case, and then delete them and re-launch the game. This will reset your progress, but you'll be able to play again.

You can also try JUST deleting the files here:

Steam\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\SavedArks

or JUST here:

Steam\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\LocalProfiles

And those will make a new map, and a new character, respectively.

You should probably try deleting the map first, so you don't lose character process (SavedArks) and then if that doesn't work, try deleting the character file.

I had this happen at one point yesterday, and it was because I was spawned inside of a very big rock that I couldn't actually see when my camera was inside of it. I jumped until I wiggled out.

I had the same bug happen as the 1st post. I actually started on land with the into cinematic but after the cinematic, I spawned in the water and then I was prompted to pick a spawn location because I drowned. I tried other spawn locations to no avail. This was an unofficial dedicated server by the way. Also re-downloading the game didn't help. I am just posting this here to help the devs debug this as we all know they are working hard at this great game.

I resolved this issue by using the dedicated server launcher from steam and started my client from the client exe file since steam won't allow both to be run directly from steam.

i had the same problem and it went away when i destroyed a tree. i think my character was stuck in the tree. try destroying trees or rooks around you.
