[SOVLED] [SUPPORT] Full-screen not working at all

When I started the game after downloading it everything worked fine, the game started and no issues so far, the only thing was that I wanted to change it from windowed to fullscreen.

The only thing is that as soon as I hit "apply" the game became un-playable. Not for the FPS or anything like that but the game refuses now to go full-screen and be in focus. Everytime I open the game it makes my screens go black like they usually do with games going in to full-screen but then after going black a couple of times it goes back to my desktop with the game in the background.
I acts as if it was completely minimized, and I can't find a way to make this stop happening.

The idea I had was to find the file with the settings in it, and there manually change it back to windowed but that turned out to be harder than expected becaouse I can't find any file anywhere that has that option (Did find one file that made no change to the game when I started it and the game made no change back in the file after start)


If anyone could help out with this it would be awesome, this is the strangest full-screen problem I have had. Have no idea why it acts like this.

Have tried to disable and remove one screen but that change nothing.

Found a fix, the file I had been in had something to do with the ressulution but must have missed some part. Just deleted the files I had there and replaced them with the "clean" ones provided in the game files. Now the game started up like it did the first time I started the game.

Yeah, its an strange issue.

Windows 7
Intel i5 and Gtx 780

If you havn't solved it yet just go to where every you installed steam and "SteamApps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\Config"
Once there you copy the files from "CleanSourceConfigs" to the folder "WindowsNoEditor". Make sure that the old files are over written, for some reason I did not manage to make it work by only editing the lines that has to do with the fullscreen settings and resolution.

Hmm I'm having this issue as well.. and i tried replacing those files you were talking about, but it still acts like a ♥♥♥♥♥ to me when I try to go fullscreen. Should i just avoid fullscreen altogether?

Yeah, if you want fullscreen go for Windowed fullscreen, it will loose you some frames but it works.

Yeah it does perform really bad. Also it won't really match my screen size and there's always a part of the window missing.

I lose some frames but other than that I have had no issues with windowed fullscreen. Hope you can find a sulution

See if you have Teamviewer enabled, close it if you have. Solved the Problem for me

I do have Teamviewer, as of now it is the onlt way for me to do anything on my server, I have no screen for the server.
And if that is what causes the bug then I hope they will fix it, though I have now reinstalled the server and it looks like it works fine now

This particular issue started after I tried to use ARK with my Rift DK2 and decided to rather play it on the monitor for now. Ever since then, nearly any screen setting (AMD) full or windowed it would just sort of dock about 100 pixels too low. If i adjusted the resolution, it would re-dock lower the next time.

Good that it helpt, I have not been able to find any other fix, have lately had the issue with an other game aswell. But it's atleast something that you can play it in windowed fullscreen, better than not beeing able to play at all.
