Does Dynamic Tessellation work?
Whenever I tick Dynamic Tessellation, the checkbox gets reset every time I return to the options screen.
I'm running i5 4670, 12gb ram, R9 290 4gb, win8.1, latest amd drivers

You sure you wanna do that? My card eats yours for breakfast and I'm not brave enough to enable tesselation!

I did restart the client, and when I opened the options menu again, the checkbox was empty again. I tested this several times, using both Apply and Save buttons, or even alt+F4ing right after Applying = same result.
Dynamic tessellation can increase performance in some cases. What it does is let the GPU adjust the level of detail of models on the fly... basically a form of dynamic level of detail. Normally, you change out models entirely, which eats up memory bandwidth at times. In effect, if memory bandwidth is a bottleneck, but the GPU has some processing units to spare, you can increase performance with dynamic tessellation. There are a lot of factors in play, so you'll have to try it and see if it helps.

I'm guessing that memory bandwidth isn't a bottleneck in ARK though, so you're probably better off leaving the option off.

I'm not asking whether or not tessellation is good for me, I'm only reporting the inability to actually enable it, even though I play with all other settings on ultra -- with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ framerate, but that's just optimization issue really (since I can ultra Witcher3 at good 40-50fps and it's graphicalyl more advanced).
doesnt work for me either, reslolutions are not working properly either sometimes get a resolution i havnt chosen and it sticks there.
Yeah, it doesn't work for me also. The tick resets with every restart of the game.
Devs, please investigate this! I know for a fact that my R9 290 supports all the DX11 technologies available in games today, so it's a game issue/bug for sure.
I have this exact same issue, and im an EPIC settings user with an GTX TITAN X 12gb vram
i also cant enable the dynamic tessellation upon restarts it reverts the change to the tickbox GTX980 here

doesnt work
Tessellation is still not working. I even tried enabling it in the DefaultEngine config file and it doesn't work.

I believe Tessellation is for Nvidia only which would explain why it isn't working.

I have a gtx770 and i cant seem to get it to enable at all, even with a restart.
Dose it require a GTX 9** series card ?
