It's a good thing people can get a refund - This is completely unplayable for a lot of people. I'm running 980s in SLI and a 5930k and I cannot get a decent frame rate on any setting. Don't hate on people for wanting their money back. I can completely understand that.

I'm going to wait it out as I think the game will be worth it but this is a freakin' mess to launch EA when the game runs that poorly. They claim they ran the trailer on a 980. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Did you run it on ultra?? Try High instead.

Also how much do you overclock your rig? :3c

As long as they wont be able to buy it back again in 2-3 days when it's going to be playable, they can get all the refunds they want, if they are too dumb to understand what an EA is and the risks

+1

This is the point that way too many people ignore. They buy an EA game, and just ignore the HUGE flippin' warning sticker on the store page.

The game isn't optimized for a lot of rig setups. This is common knowledge, for most of us who's been playing games for a couple of decades or more.

This is why they have alphas/early access, to test possible rig setups in order to optimize the game as much as the game engine allows for.

Hate all you want, but then you'd best steer clear of ANY Early Access games from now on.

There's a saying. If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen...

Thanks,
I've only 'played' an hour so hopefully should be able to get one.

I bought this yesterday and none of my settings help anything. This is a take a chance sort of came. I myself am gonna wait like a week and see what happens then maybe I'll get a refund

Damn, guess i missed out on the refund... 32 hours played and only jsut bought it... addictive!!!! :)

I must be lucky... only have an R9 290 and it runs smoothly on High settings... granted its not the 144fps i'm used to on other games but still... not bad compared to a few days ago. It'll get better.

Tell me about it. This game is addictive as hell man. Other EA titles, i've been able to play for a couple hours at most. I just cant put this one down lol.

wish id read this earlier. ive played plenty of EA's

This one was the most expensive and the most unplayable of the bunch.

Addictive but only because you have to grind for 6 hours smashing your head against gamebreaking bugs to get 5 minutes into the game.

1/10 netcode
1/10 optimisation
1/10 bug fixing

I will give them credit where credits due.

They know how to craft heaps of new content without fixing the old content so its playable so you can reach the new content! oh wait thats not a good thing.

This is how you get a refund for ARK:
inform yourself about how the game is an Early Access game and how it may not be perfect in some aspects, yet tons of people will be happy to help you with your concerns, then go back in the game and have fun.

And now my dear veteran tester, how about some constructive criticism, or tell us about your stone building again that disapeared... oh right, stone fondations and the like aren't in the game yet... Oops...

This game does not support SLI yet >.> I run at High at 60FPS 1920x1080.

It's early access, You know this when you buy in to it and it has come a long way, They are working on fixing bugs and adding new content.

You need a vaild reason to get a refund
Konachibi Jun 29, 2015 @ 11:35pm
I still find it strange how people with GTX 980s or Radeon R9s can't get a decent framerate but my geforce 650 can run it at 60 frames a second smoothly with all the graphics set to high on standard launch options (no low memory) with only 8gb of RAM in my rig.
What exactly are you guys doing to make it run like ass? Have you even tried turning your resolution or resolution scaling down 'cos that's the biggest framerate killer this game has. I have the resolution at 1600x900 with the resolution scaling at around 95%, it doesn't make any visible difference and the game looks amazing:

You're full of it. If you played plenty EA's you would know devs are on top of this. releases daily, bug fixes daily and they are PAYING people to help with info on hacking and exploits. I wish everyone would stop saying stupid things like this. Be constructive and help, posting things like this dont help.
And as for giving credit where credit is due, why is it all one out of ten?
