Still a good game, I've got into it again recently but it doesn't feel like it's the game they set out to make in the beginning.
I'm really looking forward to Ark though.
The crafting in this game sounds incredibly robust and will take time and effort if you want to be successful not to mention it actually has pve threats which nearly all survival games lack
So true, hopefully there as dangerous as we imagine and then it wont turn into rust which is just all out player vs player.
That's if they can get the AI right. I feel that a good survival game must have a superb AI intelligence. I hope that Wildcard have spent a considerable amount of time on the AI.
Ark isn't on Unity so that already puts it above the others haha..evil unity
Then sadly Ark will be more akin to Rust at the start of EA then it will a survival game. AI is absolutely crucial for a good survival game. And its something nearly all survival games so far have missed the mark on.
Anyhow the experiences they offer are far away from one another to offer a unique feel. The game that needs to worry even though I still try to help with suggestions for dev, is Beasts of Prey. That's Rust legacy with Dino's.
