Rain.
When it rains will it make little puddles and help crops grow and will it also make lets say a small lake become a little bit bigger?

Also when it rains will you be able to I don't know. Pick up a giant leaf and drink the water or give it to other players or even your own Dino?

I've always wanted stuff like this. It would be interesting to also have tide effects. That way people can use the tides to easily capture sea based animals.

maybe a little much for EA

What they have in the game already is a little much for EA.

1000/10 best Devs ever.

If exposed to the sky, rain does refill your water meter, refills crop plots waters, and refills water tanks. :)

Take my T-Rex eggs. And my Twenty-five dollars. And all my free times.

Yup to store up water during a drought, or if your water supply pipes are cut. A supply of water is important to living out in the wild :)

(And btw rain isn't all beneficial: it lowers the ambient temperature considerably so if combined with a cold front you can more easily freeze to death. In fact Rain+Coldfront+Fog is the triple death threat if they all happen together unless you are decked out with massively insulating clothing you better get indoors and huddle by multiple fires, PRONTO :) )

Or... just go inside and put on warm clothing and a fire. That's usually enough. If you're caught in the wild, though... ya, you're boned.

Dammit drake, why you gotta do this to me? WHY!?

Will snow be a thing?

Since this all sounds awesome, im assuming that the weather system eventually will incorporate all types of effects.

What about a forest fire?

From what I remember.
It will be but not right now.

I'm wondering if the game will have spec/gloss maps on the environment. Modern games with a visually wet environment when it rains is just so pretty. I hope the Devs have this implemented or planned.

Will it be possible to set up a temporary shelter like a lean-to to help resist the elements?
