How often will you see dinosaurs like t-rex and spinosauras or any other type of large carnivore in ark
how often will you see large carnivores that will kill you?

It was stated on the example one of the devs gave on the t-rex's eating preferences that if no other prey was around they would attack small carnivores, so that proves it.

36km² is the size of the island, and 14-20k animals? Hard to believe.

I would guess that the majority of large land predators would be in the center. Ones that live in the sea, air and beaches are possibly more scattered. I wouldn't be surprised if semi-aquatic predators such as Sarchosuchus are randomly distributed throughout the land either since in the trailer it showed a clearing in the forest that looks like it has a stream leading down to the beach and there's a water area that reminded me slightly of mangrove swamps. You can also see a Sarcho going towards the player.

im kinda wondering about the whole dino spawn rate myself cause I would find it funny to spawn next to a T-rex. Like do the wild dinos even despawn?

I'm sure a decent amount of the population is coelacanths as well. Food chains are important!

Keep in mind a good portion will probably be in the ocean.
