Question about pet dinosaurs
If you tame a dino and aren't using it as a mount, do they follow you around and fight with you? Or at least act like they are fighting? I'm a sucker for companions and combat pets in games... Keep up the good work Drake! Ark looks fantastic!

Yes indeed they will follow you around -- if you command them to. They have various AI states you can alter on each Pet such as:

Passive: won't ever attack anything
Neutral: will attack anything that attacks it
Aggressive: Will attack anything not allied within sight range
Hunter: Will actively explore seek out targets

You can also use a ranged whistle to tell a specific dino or a whole group of dinos to follow you or another character/dino, stop, or attack.

Based on their AI state, they'll also defend each other, nearby allies/structures, etc.

Sounds perfect! how does using a whistle to command dino groups work? do you have to tame them all first? does that mean you can have more than 1 dino at a time?

"do you have to tame them all first? does that mean you can have more than 1 dino at a time?"

Exactly. You can have a whole army of tamed dinos if you get 'em (and can keep them all fed ;) )

Everything about this game sounds perfect. Finally found the game I've always wanted.

How will that work with the feeding, if you dont play for a couple of days will you lose all your dinos?
Will follow this game for a week or so and then buy accordingly. Seems almost too good to be true.

Yes Dinos food gradually decreases when they are Tamed, even if you're not in the game. However, it decreases quite slowly and they can store a lot of excess food in their Inventory, so if you weigh them down with a lot of food for a long vacation, then you can leave the game for weeks and they should be able to withstand the hunger before starving to death ;)
