This would seem the likely state of things as they've stated that the game is not in the hands of the community and essentially ASE has been abandoned by them for all intents and purposes.
Only scenario where I could see they opting to drop the already pretty low price lower on a sale would be if Ascended continues to not make the revenue they had hoped for and they opt for some small discount strategy for ASE or some bundle strategy(which would not be a cheaper on its own consideration for the OP).
So essentially, your wants do not match the reality of the game's situation and only players post here as devs and support intentionally do not come here anymore. We've no prediction tools to offer you to say when a sale would occur(likely not as per above).
