I have't been following these forums since the release of ASA, literally bought the game, wasn't able to run it ( although I met the system requirements on the game page, which they recently changed -1 for steam for allowing them to scam people with that..), uninstalled...
Why don't everybody just talk to them, as a community... the majority do not have the money to buy a 4-5k usd NASA pc in order to run ASA
Simply move all the improvements that they made to ASA to ASE, add higher tier textures since they are all about graphics...
Put a hold on ASA ( the majority of the player base do not have the hardware to run it and URE5/5.whaterver is still NOT optimized well enough )
This is development 101 you never upgrade until whatever you are upgrading to is STABLE.
What I would love to see is a movement by all the social media/ content creators etc, lets talk to them, what they did to this game is beyond STUPID..
As far as all of your brilliant ideas go, the only problem is... you don't own the company. So I suggest you buy snailgames/wildcard, and then you can decide how to change the game, or not. It would be your property.
And all of this was hashed to death over a year+ ago. Everyone got upset, everyone talked about doing this or that, and actually did nothing. But flap their lips and generate hot air. People didn't really do anything back then, why do you think anything would happen now?
They can't "move" anything from ASA to ASE. ASA is written for a completely different version of unreal engine. It's not backwards compatible.
They bamboozled, an extra 48 million out of the player base by telling them they were going to build the game properly from the ground up.
But the evil publisher, Snail, is making another DLC for ASE.
Why should they listen to you or anything you said? You gave them your money. When a company can make profit with less effort, for less value, they will always choose that route. It's only when the money speaks up and says "Hey, I'm gonna head out now" Will they listen.
Nobody wants to listen, u n t i l it affects them and suddenly it's confused pikachu face.
Maybe, but those same youtubers went to jump on the ASA bandwagon and start making videos for it.
I played on a server for youtuber that does Ark videos (he's not one of the bigger channels), and he said in his video, "It's Ark with better graphics."
That didn't stop him from starting a whole series on it though and posting the new stuff in his dischord.
Nobody has principles these days, and nobody can resist the shiny things.
Watching anything from ASA doesn't even look like Ark anymore half the time, and now they're releasing a new story map that should have been released before Genesis (Lost Colony) and from what I read, they retconned the lore based on their anime series that they had to shop around for years before someone would air it.
If you take away all of a person's money, they are broke. Take away all of their power, they are powerless. Take away all of their happiness, they will be miserable.
When a person is broke, powerless, and miserable, they will fight back.
But if you take all that away, BUT leave them a bit of money, a shred of power, and a bit of satisfaction, they will let you walk all over them.
It's true, people are entirely unwilling to sacrifice their convenience. It's the modern day Bread & Circuses. I believe in general a growing lack of principle to be a greater issue. Too many people "Virtue Signal" without actually living by and acting upon those Virtues. A bunch of wolves showing off who's got the most stylish sheep's mask.
The OP is just upset that their old outdated computer can't run new games. Sorry, but we can't turn back time. Unreal engine 5 is a bloated pig, but it's here, and going to stay. Hardware and storage will increase to make it run better. That's what happens. Time for the OP to upgrade, or just be happy playing the older games.
And the OP should go read Aesops fables. Especially the one about sour grapes and the fox. You're literally trying to get all of us to cut our tails off too, since your tail got cut off. It's scary how well those ancient fables illuminate various aspects of human nature.
My hardware isn't outdated mate, there are content creators that are unable to get stable fps using a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 4090, go on youtube and see for yourself
ASA is not just using a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ engine, the game itself is NOT optimized, they keep releasing PAID dlcs instead of actually optimizing the game...
I have a right to be mad mate.
Everything that was added to ASA was 10000% addable to ASE, they simply merged SOFT and some MODS, upgraded textures, generated the rest and called it a day.
LOL. They've been doing that since Sept. 2016
You're surprised NOW?
Talking about ASA period...
Was tolerable in ASE days, you pay for map... game was playable with decent size community... now its a ♥♥♥♥ show, they release new content for a broken unplayable game.
Another issue you are failing to see is you are on a 3050 laptop GPU. The xx50 series of NVidia is outdated before even being released compared to the current generation hardware.
A desktop GTX1080 GPU which is now 9 years old and quite outdated is 83% faster than a laptop RTX3050. https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-RTX-3050-Laptop-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1080/m1570008vs3603
So yes, your hardware is outdated for modern PC gaming on the latest Unreal Engine 5 game engine. Your best bet is to either enjoy older games that your hardware supports or to upgrade.
