What's the point in electricity?
Seriously, what's the point if you need to power the generator and each station individually with gasoline too.. Just doesn't make sense to me lol

Pretty much the same reason why your home has electricity

You place a generator down then the electric cabling from the generator to eletrical outlets around your base. Then place the crafting stations close to the outlets (so there is little nasty lines from the out to crafter) Boom, powered stations on one generator.

Then gasoline to power the one generator. This is the same as a basic outpost in remote areas the buildings will be more than likely powered by a diesel generator.

Chem bench as Zerassar has said needs both Electric and gas this is to symbolise that you are adding the base chemicals to the bench to power with other materials to craft new items/substances.

EUREKA!!! Let there be light

Electricity also powers your lights and turrets. It keeps the air conditioner running (for temperature protection and egg hatching), as well as extends your consumables decay timer with the refrigerator. Crafting stations are not the only thing that uses electricity. Though as far as I can remember, only the Chemistry Bench requires both electricity and gasoline. So one single thing requires both. Everything else requires only one or the other.

ever tried to actually do something in the game? xd like breeding etc you need a generator to power other things like air conditioning units that are important for eggs etc? XD

Because some things, like fire, don't run on electricity. Hence the chemistry station needing both.

I suppose that makes sense, just weird that if you have electricity you can't get an electric stove etc - I'm not the one that usually does it it just peeved me off haha
