ARK: Megalodon and Mosasaurus
the megalodon was bigger than the mosasaurus..... i'm really dissapointed that the megalodon is so small... it just looks like an regular white shark... change this...
Megalodon 30 metres (98 ft) : https://en.wikipedia.org/?title=Megalodon
Mosasaurus 18 metres (59 ft): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mosasaurus

A normal great white shark is like the size of the megaladon's fin in ARK. Like dude, you're stupid.
Doesn't matter in the slightest because the ones ingame are SUBSPECIES. People seem to forget this....like every day. Every day.....If they want to make it bigger, then cool. If not, meh.
because the creatures in ARK are sub species, for example, the rex in ARK is bigger then it was irl

There are no appropriate sizes. All in Game Dinos are offshoots of what actually existed. The creatures in game were not meant to be realistic representations of what the Dinos of past were in this game, they are distant cousins essentially.
In other words they are free to make them how they like and have the game lore that will back it up.

The 'megas are too small' thing not only stems from people watching Mega Shark Vs Giant Octopus or whatever and thinking it's a documentary and also the foreshortening-type effect that occurs when looking at stuff through a first person camera. I remember being shocked at how thick the Sarco body is when I went into screenshot mode (default: k) to commemorate the taming of my first one and realized its body was as tall as my character was, not counting the space between it and the ground.

The animals in ARK are hugenormous.
Megalodon size is a much debated topic in ARK. At first glance the Megalodon in game seems small when you see them in the wild. However when riding them you see just how massive they are. They are MUCH larger than a Great White. And just because something CAN grow to be a certain size doesn't mean they have to be at max length. This picture sums it up.

Something else too, this isn't the same species as the megalodon that existed on Earth.

Like the Tyrannosaurus, it's not a Rex, it's a Dominus.

Im not sure if that's a joke or not ... But anyways ya it's obvious that there's always a anomaly that can reach huge proportions , but for the most part megalodons were only upwards of 60 ft which make sense because mosasaur and Liopleurodon ate megalodon on the regular (but that's not to say that megalodon didn't eat them as well , it was a very scary and strange sea back then ).
Not a joke. The "T-Rex" ingame is a Tyrannosaurus Dominus. Read the dossiers; in fact, I believe all of them are fictional variants.

Megalodons didnt live in the same time as mosasaur and liopleurodon. Also lio and mosa didnt live in the same time ether.

I have a question: Why is everyone opening topics, but has no clue what he is talking about?
