Parasaur vs Phiomia

Which is better for an early mount? The game is pretty much saying the Parasaur is better, because you unlock it's saddle at a later level. In my experience, the Phiomia seems better, it has a lot of health and can carry the same. What's your guys opinions?

The phiomia is super duper slow compared to the parasaur.

The Phiomia is a good pack animal, but the Parasaur is better for a mount. I'd tame the Parasaur.

They are both not the greatest mounts, but yeah the phiomia is ridiculously slow with a saddle on it. If you are really early in the game, just tame a dilo (or 3) and have them haul your loot until you get to a decent level. (or tame either of your choices, but don't put saddles on them unless you have found a blueprint for such)

Engrams are a limited and precious resource, buying multiple redundant saddles may mean skipping out on stuff that would really make a difference to your play-style and character survival needs.

just spend like 30 mins getting lvl 15 and tame a raptor.. /thread

Both are a waste of time. Wait till you can tame a Raptor (level 15).

You'd be better off just waiting until you can unlock the Raptor saddle at 15 unless you luck out and get a blueprint for the Parasaur before then and even then I was really unimpressed with the Parasaur.
