Multiple Characters on same server?

I don't want to create another character with the off chance of deleting my current one, are you able to have more than 1 character ( survivor) per server?

This is not correct, It is actually possible to have up to 6 characters on a server. Though I am 100% sure that this was not intended. How you ask... Family Sharing. You can share your games with up to 5 other steam accounts on your computer. When you launch ARK as one of these accounts, the server separates it from your main account and gives you a separate character!

Yes but you can't use the official servers just unofficial ones

Actually, I tested this on official servers. So yes you can!

Family sharing was disabled because of hackers and griefers. Its unfortunate but reality of online gaming with unsavoury people.

You can create new survivors on single player however and have it exist on the same place

And what about bases, dinos and stuff, when jumping between servers, will my stuff still be mine ?

Not sure why you had to revive an ancient topic, but...
If you transfer, your character on the destination server will be deleted.
Ownership is per server. If character A transfers to server B, it will not own character B's base, dinos, ... but when going back to server A, everything will still be his.
Uploads in the obelisk however are Steam ID tied, not character tied. Meaning character A can upload an item or tame, character B can download it, and then B will effectively own it.
