Wooden Fence Foundation
I would love to see a fix for the wooden foundations graphics. It is incredibly hard to set wooden foundations out when part of the foundation isn't shown. To go further in depth when you place the foundation it will be longer than what's shown on the pre-place graphics so when you go to place a wall next to another it gets obstructed making you have to demolish and replace a foundation I also think it would be nice to have a feature to be able to connect the foundations at various popular angles e.g. 90 degree angle

Yep. All the ground clutter also makes it hard to see, even with the snaps. Once in a while I'll even miss a snap on accident and it will mess up my whole fence system, because once you've built around on messed up snap, you're done for.

That being said, the angles are already implemented. As of right now, you get 8 snappable angles for any given fence foundation. The problem is reaching them when they're hidden.

I'd like to see it be a two click process. The first being the initial snap hinge, and the second be the determiner of the angle. It would be nice if it snapped to the 8 primary angles, but then also gave you the option to write in the angle you'd like it to snap at, so that you can build complex angle patters without having it mess up your project completely. Basically, i'm describing the ability to get back to 90 degrees once you snap one at, say 80 degrees.

Exactly it's just a tiny fix that needs to happen that I'm sure will make many people happy

Seem's a simple fix would be in order.
I'd leave the base as is, and stick two upright 3foot tall or so verticle posts on each end
to serve as lay line locators for those uneven areas or inclines.
This would also solve the grass and ground clutter problem

It would also make it easier to not make errors in alignment when trying to
use a non standard 'snap to' angle. Anyone that has layed a lot of fencing knows
what I mean, when a wall won't go in due to a minor overlap conflict.

Which is sometehing else I'd change, there needs to be a 22.5 degree rotation snap
addtion to the 90, 45 degree rotation snap point set.

Oh, the same applies to the steel fence foundations, they are nearly as annoying to
lay down.

In the meantime the best way to lay them at this point is in 3rd person mode. It seems to show the snapping positions far better than when in 1st person. To confirm you have a good snap in for a straight line see if the snap in will show you a 45/90 degree first. If you can see that then the straight snap in is in the correct position/distance from the other fence line.

why not just give enerything a redish glow when placing something. then even if it's underground or hidden in grass you can tell where it is.

I have only been laying foundations that I can lay a wall right on top of.....this is how I build walls.
Lay foundations...lay wall....lay foundation.....lay wall
Otherwise I lose foundations in the clutter...cant line em up right as i have no visual point to go off of......
Yea, its a bit of a headache...

Bump.

I have also had this issue, maybe even a snap point indicator would be a simple fix, such as a different color when its actually snapping to something.

It's interesting to me just how many miserable and childish people play these games, and the endless ways the come up with to display and express their idiocy.

As a relatively normal and mostly sane person I can't even remotely imagine what drives people to do such incredibly childish acts - but then, I also don't understand how so many people get into griefing either. Many of these people must really, really hate their lives and/or need a hug from mommy or something.

Breeding should be a priviledge.

Did you forget to take your meds this morning, what does any of that have to do with this discussion?
