How do I change brightness in the game?

For me its way too bright and sometimes it even hurt eyes like that. Is there any way to adjust it?

Adjust your monitor brightness. They removed the gamma controls from official servers

You cannot unfortunately, A decent amount of people were complaining about people abusing the in console brightness adjustment and calling out everyone as cheaters who used it, So to avoid a great deal more of grief and complaints, Devs removed the gamma command.

Thank you. Adjusted my monitor settings and now its looks way better.

I don't understand that, it's something everyone can do so how is it unfair...

1: Open this file in a texteditor: (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ARK\Engine\Config\BaseEditorUserSettings.ini

2: Search for the brightness setting and change it to whatever you prefer.

3: Put read-only on the file and the game will not overwrite it on launch AND you cannot change GFX settings from ingame...

Pointless bump. This is from 2015. We have all the necessary means to do this in game without editing any files

Bloom quality and lightshafts alone does not fix the problem it was already tested.

Why did you necro an old thread from 2017? I think most players by now know this is possible on PVE servers (or unofficial servers) that have this setting.

why the ♥♥♥♥ do I care again? I'm gonna keep necroing threads and there is nothing you can do about it.

You clearly do care if you're replying to what I said with an angry response. Not to mention it being half a year ago. I honestly couldn't care less if you even do Necro threads, I rarely come here anymore. Just any person with common sense wouldn't bother since it isn't necessary.
