The only tedious thing to get, Fiber
As it stands fiber is the only thing that is tedious to get. Perhaps it feels tedious because it's used for EVERYTHING and for base building we need it in massive amounts, went through 1500 fiber in a few minutes.

Now there is like...tons of ideas about how we could make it less tedious. The first and most simple is to let the dinosaurs, such as the stego/bronto, harvest fiber. Another less obvious one is to add a setting so we can tell our dino what specifically to harvest.

Another idea was being able to convert thatch to fiber, and perhaps wood to thatch. And lastly, being able to shred Hide into Fiber, or into hide strips which could serve as an alternative, much like how keratin is for chitin for a lot of recipes.

On a unrelated note, if we can use keratin and/or chitin for...pretty much every recipe except chitin armor, why can't we use keratin for chitin armor?

How is fiber tedious, you get it in stacks when farming berries galore....

Someone is playing a different game as I am, I throw stacks of that stuff out of the window to keep my inventory clean.

Only when farming said berries by hand.
You stop getting it when you start gathering berries with dinos or farms. Dinos are much better at harvesting berries, but get no fiber.

Because of the sheer amount that is needed. Keep in mind fiber is used in EVERYTHING and we need it in VAST amounts.

Then you have EVERYONE take a few minutes to gather fiber. I can gather a ton of it by myself, but you keep saying "we". There is your answer.. have everyone gather. I sse no issue here. Move along.

You are forgetting how tedious it is to mine rock and flint at maybe 4-6 per rock with metal pick. At least with mining fiber it doesn't destroy metal tools.

Trade with low level players its win win.

I donno, perhaps its a RNG thing because the amount you get is random. But still, the current method is tedious as it stands specially for more upscale/grand construction. We have a few players, usually no more than 6 of our tribe on at any given time, and suffice to say not everyone is up to walking around harvesting berries and having to dump out 900 berries every 10 minutes.

For those who haven't noticed, as you get up there in levels, start taming dinos, the usually tedious things become much less so, specially with tamed dinos. Need wood/Thatch? Mammoth/Trike/Bronto. Need berries? Bronto/Stego/Trike. Flint/Stone/Metal? Ankylos. Need Meat/Hide/Chitin? Trex/Raptor/Spino. Simply put everything you need in the game can be harvested by dinos EXCEPT fiber for some reason.

This is a fair point. regardless of of how tedious/easy it is to harvest fiber there is no dino in game (that I know of) that can harvest it en-mass. Maybe one of the earlier suggestion of breaking down wood and/or thatch to make fiber would be another possible solution as well.

In my opinion the best solution would be a cotton seed so you can produce fiber in gardens
