Minimum IQ to play this game well?

As someone with below average IQ, I have always had problems playing games that require too much planning and brainpower.

From the looks of things, Ark Evolved requires a lot of brainpower in having to remember hundreds of designs, and the means to survive, form alliances with others, work together and such. This means that Evolved seems catered towards people of higher intelligence.

Will people like me be disadvantaged in playing this game?

Not to sound rude, but if you're being honest, then yes... Definitely..

This is a survival game.. A very popular genre with much information about it out there... The entire point of survival games is learning designs, figuring out (hopefully on your own and not using google) the means to survive and form alliances with others, while working togehter with people and such...

I wouldn't say it's catered to people with higher intellgence in the slightest..

You do have to want to play a survival game though

ive seen it before with other people its not related to IQ you just need the ability to "puzzle" and learn how the game works. believe it or not some people arent capable of doing just that

Your post was well written and you got your message across articulately, you didn't mention optimisation or anything about overnight base raids. You're already doing better than most people who play the game.

You'll be fine :) For anything you're unsure of there are lots of youtube videos, there is a wiki page and MOST people are friendly enough in game to answer any questions you have in global chat.

Satire is a lost art it seems. I sure got what this post was really about. It was satarizing and ridiculing the people who complain and struggle, as being stupid.

I am surprised you guys could not see that.

I had to give him credit for being far more subtle though. I've jumped in on threads or posts with these implications. Attacking them for it.

But this was really clever.

(some clues are he has the game already, and his post was very well written. If you re-read it in the light of what I said, it's obvious it's satire of the people who complain about struggling in PVP so bad).

Yep, it's satire.

I hope readers do not confuse this with sarcasm or biting irony though. There is a huge difference among all three.

Mate! I am pretty sure that you will do fine in this game, it might be a good bit of an uphill for you to get started and start to understand the game and how to efficiently do it. I am a proper stoner, I smoke weed every day and have done that for years, so I struggle a bit with the memory part to, and way finding when really high, but setup a base near an obelisk, and you wil always find the way back home :)
