Wooden Building

Is it worthwhile to build a wooden house in the game? They can withstand damage much better than the thatch, I know. But I have yet to sustain major damage to my base. What are all of teh benefits to replacing my thatch house with a wooden one?

Wooden buildings can have multiple floors.

Besides being slightly stronger the main thing is appearance and additional parts. I don't believe thatch construction has all the building pieces that wood and metal do (windows, ramps, ladders, and the like).

I live in the base of a mountain. Eagles eat thatch like it is made of sugar.And they have a great lunch accompaning that sugar with some raw Dodo. Wood, on the other hand, gives me some time to react, so I can destroy those flying OP beasts before they completely erradicate every single one of my primitive penguins.

Well, first off thatch can be destroyed by pretty much anyone. Wood on the other hand needs at least metal equipment or dinos (trike+) to destroy.

Well I'm playing alone so I don't have to worry about other players and I also have my house stationed on the beach but I see what you mean
