Why can an Argentavis destroy wood?
It's a freaking giant bird with a beak. Last I checked a beak isn't the most effective tool at shattering wooden structures.

It makes no sense that people with these can fly over your fence AND proceed to destroy you base with it. Someone just came and destroyed my base while I sat there watching him fly around claming he had "nothing better to do". On top of that, I couldn't even hit him with a bow because of how bad he was rubberbanding around.

It still doesn't make any sense. If a creature gives you the ability to completely bypass a person's defenses by flying over them, it shouldn't also have the capability of a siege weapon. That's complete nonsense.

Anyone heard of a woodpecker? .......now, how about a bird 3 + meters long with a beak the size of a jackhammer, then you get the picture.

I actually kind of agree. They shouldn't be able to destroy wood.
you should have fired a bunch of tranq arrows and murdered that bird because you had "nothing better to do"

Actually birds with hook bills are professionals at shredding through wood. http://www.birdchannel.com/bird-diet-and-health/bird-care/powerful-bird-beak.aspx

Are you aware that woodpeckers have specifically evolved skulls to withstand the force from pecking wood. Their adaptation would not be feasible if they were scaled up because the resulting force would destroy their heads.

Beyond that, gameplay wise it's complete nonsense that a creature that let's you completely bypass someone's defenses by flying over them can also be used as a siege weapon.

I shot about 30 arrows and the 10 tranq arrows I had at him, but because of how bad the rubberbanding is I couldn't even be sure if they hit him or not. 40 arrows didn't seem to do anything, as he just flew off for a second and came back and proceeded to destroy it while I watched.

And are you aware that this is a game? With impossible themes at that.

Why do people ask these stupid questions in seriousness?

I can punch trees for materials, and even dinos for hide and meat!
There's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ dragon in this game!
TAMED TRIKE MUTHATRUCKER!
Guns!
I can punch dinos!
Seriously, the bird is the LAST thing on everyones minds as to why it can do damage,

He was trying to make a point saying that because a woodpecker can bore a hole in a tree, then a giant bird should be able to obliterate a wooden structure.

Real life aside, gameplay wise it's stupid that flying mounts can also siege. Why would you even need a T-Rex or Spinosaur to assault bases if you can use something that can fly over a person's fences?

Hmmm, I don't know, why WOULD someone ask about the balance of something in an Early Access game? Yep, cause the devs got it 100% right off the get go. There's no room for improvement. The game is perfectly balanced right now. Mhmm

Yes but from a gameplay standpoint, he's right, Argentavis, and flying mounts in general, shouldn't be siege weapons. It makes them unbalanced. It should be the purpose of land mounts as ankylo, stego, mammoth, bronto.
