Anyone using NITRADO hosting service?

I swear I picked a New Jersey, US server when i set the server up, but when I check the ip of the server it comes back as an IP in Germany.

Does anyone know how I can check / change the server location?

I opened a ticket with support, but haven't received a reply.

they were good with support when i used them for a different game, but I definitely got the NJ server so that was never an issue.

might take a few hours for a reply.

It doesn't seem like they give you much control over the server.

It would be nice to be able to update the server myself rather than waiting for them to do it, as well. Is this possible?

u can manually update the server for the most part but its a chore. they gave you the DB and FTP credentials in your account.

I let them handle it myself and they were quick about it. but i would guess each game gets supported differently and has different needs.

I never had to change my server location, so no idea there.

They're going to refund me the cost of the server so I can set it up again in the proper location. :D

I don't know how to mess with the DB or FTP settings, etc.

Can you provide some clues please? Or is there a guide out there maybe?

I have to say though, I'm impressed with their servers so far...

I'm in RI,US and I only had a 90ish ping to a server in GERMANY... that's pretty dang good.

I wanted to come back and say;

They are indeed speedy with the support responses...

I must have just caught them on off hours because of the time zone difference.

They've been emailing me back and forth for the past ten minutes now, responding almost immediately after I do.

So far, I'd recommend them to anyone else interested in renting a server.

How much control do you want? lol

You can access every single file via FTP you have MySQL details and control all world settings from the console.

Being honest if you dont know how to change the server location I wouldnt attempt a force update

Glad you are getting a positive response. I haven't used them in months but my experience was positive. Can't help you with anything advanced for this game as I currently am only playing on a local server and I haven't done anything more than delete the world/characters to do fresh starts here and there.
