So i recently have had to retame my dinos a bajillion times do to loses my entire pack in while offline or what have you. and i find the berry grind is ridiculous. especially at higher levels. ive reach level 40 and the best way to get berrys is this trike/stego/bronto (a dino that can aoe gather bushes). but if you get screwed and lose you dinos you have to run around gathering berries forever to get to a point where you can tame a trike.

I propose a Scythe or some sort of tool that lets you harvest aoe bushes without a dino.

yea it just seems silly to me that everything else can be done more efficientlly as far as gathering, via tool upgrades and such. EXCEPT bushes. i mean if the dev intent is to make you tame dinos to gather bushes better, than at least give us a dino that dosnt usually take and hour to tame that can do it. I mena seems like the trike is the first viable dino for bush farming, and sometimes it takes just way to long.

just kinda seems like at high levels like 40 or even maybe 30 you should be able to craft something that lets you farm some bushes fast aoe style to get you to the point where you can tame said dinos. right now the only viable way to get berries no matter you level seems to be spamming E forever. which usually ends up with you throwing away a bunch of fiber as you do this.

and dont get me wrong i realize farming is meant to be this in a way, but that too is a little ridiculous time wise. and the plot placement seems a little strict. i usually can find places i want to place the crop plots cause they just show up red, so i then end up having to put them in werever it will let me place them, and then that ends up being in a wierd area i now have to watch. also my problem with farming in this game is people steal you harvest all the time. i watched a guy run up to my farm, glitch his dino half inside my wall and jump off it, to get in, steal all my narco berry crop and then mount back up on his dino thru the wall.

i dont think a tool like this is to crazy to ask for.

make a narco berry crop, and utilise narcotics as they last indefinitly instead of narco berry so you can stockpile.

as i said before with the time it takes to cultivate narcos, my ♥♥♥♥ always get stolen while offline

this has been suggested so many times, why is it not in yet? And it needs to harvest the fiber too not just the berries

I propose a Scythe or some sort of tool that lets you harvest aoe bushes without a dino.

Excellent idea.
A basic 2 hand stone and later on metal scythe would help speed up the crazy slow berry gathering is greatly needed. It would be a good melee weapon too, that is slower but hits harder then stone axe and piick.

Ya, it might have to be about the equal weight of what...one and a half one hand tools? Two one hand tools? Definately should be a bit heavier though, but I think it would be well worth it to have more efficent berry picking instead of how it is now so horribly slow.

If you are having trouble gathering berries, you are doing it wrong. Get a trike / stego / anhklo, and also make a handful of farms. Easy berries. Farm plots actually make berries at a decent rate if you've got several of them. We keep like 6 small farm plots, and loot them every 2-3 hours for like 200 berries at a time.

Those are all advanced methods, the scythe would be a lower level option before all that other stuff, and even with those advanced methods would still help in addition to them. For the ultimate tribe berry farming, have a few on trikes, got crops growing, and have several tribesmates walking the field with scythes...ultimate berry farming.
