What factors decide Taming effectiveness?
I know taming effectiveness affect creatures stats and every time it eats during the taming process, taming effectiveness will decrease accordingly.

What i don't understand is what factors affect initial taming effectiveness? I can't find any information on the wiki.

Originally I thought it's health related e.g. if I almost kill the creature before I knock it out, It'll gives me lower taming effectiveness number. But I'm not so sure after I tested it with my scorpion and today.

My scorpion Stung a level 2 dilo, it's left with 2% health and it gave me almost 90% effectiveness.

Stung a level 18 Dilo, it's left with more health but only 70% taming effectiveness.

Stung a level 7 Trik, it's left with 50% health but only 55% taming effectiveness.

I can't grasp the formula behind it. It seems all random.

EDIT:
As I mentioned in the first paragraph I know how taming effectiveness works. The more you feed, the lower is the taming effectiveness . So you should feed Mejoberries for Herb and Prime meat for Carnivores (and yellow berries for dodo) because they eat less during the taming process.

What I don't understand is when you first approach a knocked out creature, it'll assign you a taming effectiveness number. And what factors have effect on that number?

The less your dinosaur feeds, the higher the tame effectiveness. The higher the tame effectiveness, the higher the stats when it is tamed. So for carnivores, giving them prime meat will drastically increase the chance at a higher taming efficiency, where as for herbivores, you're pretty much stuck with the mejoberries and they take forever. The efficiency goes down every time your dinosaur eats, so herbivores get the short end of the stick there.

I think it may be determined by the rate at which you build torpidity vs damage to the dino. I tamed a 55 trike yesterday by shooting with tranquilizer arrows and kiting, allowing the torpidity to build up before the next shot. Once it was down it was at 62% hp and taming effectiveness was 95%. Hope this helps, its just my theory so far.
