melee damage and ranged weapons

does leveling up melee damage effect melee weapons only, or ranged too? bow, etc?

melee damage only affects melee weapons I think

There is a large amount of people that believe it effects both.

Right now until someone does a large amount of testing to prove it we can only speculate.

just do like I did, check by creating a singleplayer game and use commands.
results : melee damage are not working on things like bow, and assault rifle (you can try other things if you want to)

In theory it should work with thrown or pulled ewpaons like bow and spear. but not with firearms.

Considering the bow strength is based on how strong the bow is, and not the person, no, there is no melee damage with the bow. Now if they made stronger bows that required certain lvls of melee dmg, that would be dope.
