Is there a way to change resolution settings/restore default video settings OUTSIDE of the game?

So I have accidentally changed my resolution to something ridiculous like 300x300... and of course, as a result I can't see anything or change any settings because the res is so zoomed. So, I have been trying to set the launch options to change video settings but it just does not work. Can anyone help?

I trust you cant click "join ark" so try this.

Close the game down
Go to your tooltray (bottom right of screen)
right click steam icon
choose 'servers'
go to favorites and double click the server you normally play

You should now be able to access the ingame options

You can delete the config file with your video options and the game will re-create the file and start up in it's default video settings again.

The file is stored in :

Steam\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor

The file is called:

GameUserSettings.ini

Delete this file, and the game will recreate it, and reset settings to default.

Thanks very much for the replies guys, I actually figured it out right after I posted this and forgot about the post! Your help is much appreciated :) For any still having the problem, there is actually a 'reset game resolution' launch option now implemented by the devs!

whiplash i did the same thing and did what you said now i cant get back in the game it wont load
