Taming T-rex
Anyone has any idea on the amount of narcotic/meat and how long it takes to tame a t-rex?

Depends on the meat. With prime meat and low level (under 10) rex, it shouldn't be more than 1-1.5 hours. Personal experience is from level 9 and using only regular raw meat, it took quite exactly 3 hours.

get prime meat/ starve the food down a fair bit, feed it prime meat, bam quick tame. Took me and my tribe 2hrs (max) to tame 2 T Rex's at once. Mine being level 12 and my mate's being level 15.

Same for me, and a buttload of narcoberries. Use a trike to farm narcoberries.

starving does not work at all... Dev confirmed

Exactly. The same amount to starve it, is exactly thesame as just taming it. :)

our regular time on taming is about 1 - 1½ hour. the person taming has tamed 2 t-rex before so he should have the taming bonus by now. We use only prime meat for feeding so we have one of our other t-rex go out and kill brontos and what not while one guy is taking care of the one we are taming. Run out. collect 4 prime meat. carry it back for the rex. wait a bit for it to consume. go out and farm again.

Most efficient way we have come across

I'm pretty sure starving dinos was confirmed ineffective as far as time goes. There's a QnA on a stream with a dev that confirmed this to be false and on ark reddit they tested this using several methods...

Main factors are: How much damage the dino takes for you to render it unconcious,

Using its preferred food,

the dinos level (the higher its level the faster it will regain conciousness) be sure to use narcoberries on herbivores for greater effectivness and Narco on carnivores.

The end result in terms of the dinos stats will depend on your ability to give it the best level of 'taming effectiveness'

This is what we have established so far, so that is all the help i can provide

Tamed new Rex, it was only a level 9 one, but it took 1.5 hours to tame it, it was 80% fed with prime meat. It took this long, because, before i started to tame, i had a stegosaurus attacking me and it hit the sleeping rex aswell, so taming efficiency was only 46% on start.. But it didn't drop lower than 34% when it was ready.

Did you do this solo or with your tribe?

Solo tamed, my tribe includes one irl friend who plays once or twice a week, so i'm mostly just solo player :)

Edit. I was well prepared for it, i built wooden fence foundations and walls in my base and carried it to the taming site with my argentavis, built the walls immediately around rex and gave it 8 cooked prime meat to have plenty of time to go find more prime meat.

Kk thanks, I just tamed my first Carno solo, was kinda annoying due to the fact no dino's spawned who could drop the prime meat so yeah, but it worked out well :)

Yes it's a lot lot harder, or atleast time consuming when doing things alone.. If you can't find food and you need to go far away to look for one, some silly Dilo's can come to attack the sleeping dino and that's very frustrating.. Building the walls around the dino was a very good idea, it saved me atleast twice from some wandering raptors..
