Bad performance on GTX 590
Hey Guys,

I have a Intel i7 990x Core to extreme, Running at 4.2
24GB 1600 Dominator Memory running on 1700
Gigabyte UD7 Motherboard
Asus GTX 590, Clocked slightly

I can only run this on med(3 settings) to low with 14 frames and resolution scale all the way down, 1920x1080 resolution, I have noticed my card only uses one core, not both is that a general issue? or is there a fix. Also my friend has a similar setup and he gets 20 frames on high with 1 or 2 on med, I run low 4gb mode with -nomansky but still does not help. I dont really want to run it in dxd10 as it looks horrible then...

If anyone has any recommendations please feel free.

O yes, win 8.1 64bit fully up to date.
Latest nvidia 353 if not mistaken.

Game uses Unreal Tournament engine. If I am not mistaken the particular version of the engine being used does not support dual-GPU cards. So it will only use one GPU.

Turn to 720 full red reboot game it will look better and have better fps. I'm 1080 full res around 15-30 fps. When I turn down the scale to 50% I gain 5 fps inlow n high end. But when I turn it to 720 full res its 25-35 fps

Tldr if you lower red scale past 50% just set the res 1 step lower @ full res

770 gtx 4gb

Dual GPU is on the "to do list" but it most likely won't happen during the life of this game

Not true. It will be active in DX12.

DX12 will push UE4 for multi GPU solution. But its not an instant thing.

UE4 rely on data from the previous frame to render the current frame and as a result are not SLI friendly

So assuming windows,dx12, and epic are working together we might see something soon. But it most likely won't be a 4.X release of the engine. This game being made in 4.5 might make an update but its not recommended. Since 4.8 has been out for awhile it might never chamge

I may be a little late but..

1) Go to Nvidia control panel
2) Go to "Manage 3D Settings"
3) Go to "Program Settings" and choose the game you want to change settings for
4) Go down to "Multi-GPU Rendering Mode" and select "Force Alternate Rendering 2"

-SLI problem will be fixed.

A "little" late? This was posted June, 2015, when the game was released. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ some of you people need to control yourselves. Did you really think you were going to solve something that no one could in 2 years? LMAO
