"Submerge in Water" so in other words good luck trying to craft it, because they did **** up the water jars and skins with one of the last patches and the filling of it is not getting recognized correctly anymore

When making Focal Chili first and foremost use WOOD not spark powder or all you will get is cyan dye and magenta dye. Important to also use COOKED MEAT as some of the recipes out on the web have raw meat. Doesn't work, waiting game to produce nothing. All the berries I've seen listed in amounts are 20 each. Yes you can use waterskins with this recipe but ONLY use one at a time, otherwise good luck you have more dye. Also another important part is during the cooking process, charcoal will pop up so you have no choice, your cooking with wood and can't cook it with anything else but wood. As soon as the charcoal pops up move it out of the pot into your inventory. After about two charcoals are removed, the focal chili magically appears. Cooked meat is 9 pieces so use a bulk of 30 so you can get at least 3 at a time. If you work fast, get more water transferred over to your cooking pot by double clicking on the empty water skin in the pot and then mouse over and double click the waterskin in your inventory. Keep an eye on the amounts of ingredients and keep watching to remove the charcoal asap. Enjoy!
Why not use thatch or sparkpowder instead of wood to eliminate any chance at dyes and just go for the recipe itself?
