80,162 People playing ARK. New all time high!

Steam charts comparison shows ARK, Rust, H1Z1 and DayZ. On June 15 (today) recorded 80,162 people playing Ark. The highest yet.

In comparison - DayZ, H1Z1 and Rust have only ever reached an all time peak of 40-50,000 players online at one time. Looks like ARK is killing everything else out there - similar genres.

There were 60 people on my hardcore server earlier. I was shocked. This seems to explain it.

I think one of the reasons is that it is not yet another zombie survival, I'm tired of those, yes, i get the people you play with make a big difference but when the only other thing is zombies, it gets bleh.

That said RP elements and hardcore mode not being enforced unless you want it definitely makes it a lot more approachable, and death is still very punishing situations where you lose everything happen quite often if not very careful, all around insanely great game.

idk what ppl complain about not enough servers , theres tons of empty ones thru steam server list , right click steam icon go to servers and there they are

I don't think a lot of people know it works with steam server browser perhaps?
