Why is Carbonemys saddle level 25???

I don't get this, Raptor saddle is lvl 15 but Turtle is 25, why? Shouldn't it be the other way around, since the raptor is infinitely more useful? Just seems like this makes the turtles obsolete as mounts from the very start IMO.

(and yes, I tamed a turtle at the beginning thinking the saddle was gotten early -_- )

The turtle is very good for tanking other dino's to knock them out. You put your turtle on a rex with full health while you trank the rex. Raptors aren't quick so useful they're more convenient though for travel.

Isn't it cause the turtle can go in the water and take you to the caves? The raptor can't?

it's incredibly strong for tanking. As well it's not an easy pet to tame at lower lvls so it makes sense to put it after the parasaur and the phiomia. Those two don't fight back like a turtle so the turtle saddle is 25 because it takes roughly a lvl 25 player to make the things required for it. Or at least that's what level your should tame them at so it's easy.

How are the phiomia and parasaur easier to tame?? They run away so fast you can't even knock them out, the turtle is easy sauce. First thing I tamed at lvl 3 was the turtle, I won't even try the others til I get the tranq arrows...

lol that is why you put points in movement speed to catch them easy

Parasaur and phioma you herd into a rock or trees to knock out and they won't fight back. The turtles are a ♥♥♥♥♥ to knock out without dying.

lol the turtle are the easiest of all with a slingshot. just walk backward and keep shootin on his head. done
