I think it took a couple of hundred Narcotics and 15-20 arrows to take down? and a fair few stacks of meat (I was collecting as I was taming so I'm not sure exactly)
I believe it took 3-4 hours to tame? Lost track of time.
EDIT: Sounds about right, I think it was 2 and half hours.
The trick is to use berries instead of narcotics because they don't seem to reduce taming effectiveness, and since they raise the torpor slower, it gives you more time before they start burning through it again.
The downside is you need a TON of berries.
I tried to tame a Spino once and the torpor drops like a sinking rock. The time it takes to tame it vs how much you have to pump it full of drugs isn't worth it.
I think the torpor drops to zero on a low level spino in under 10 mins, while a Rex would take over 30 mins giving you breathing time.
