Pearls
How are you suppose to get those? I went to the ocean buttom got 2 sec to hit with metal pick axe nothing happen , then 8 sharks nearly killed me... but died to not enough oxygen...

lvl 60 with 320 oxygen

just pick them up like you would pick up berrys,.. i think,..im not the guy who dives in my tribe,... but i think it was just picking them up,.. Best way to get them is a Ocaen Cave,... like 100+ pearls down there!

I just went down , I cant get them to open. you cant pick them up with berries either. pick axe/hatchet doesnt work

Yeah your right. The problem is the swimming speed. You walk faster then you swim.

Just stand next to them and press E (default key for picking up stuff) without any tool on your hand.
Don't know if you are trying like i was (looking for oysters) but silica pearls are in a kinda of dark rock that have them glowing out from it.

Remember,.. you cant pick them up while you have tools in your hand,..
If you need to be longer underwater try to cook some larzerus what ever it was named,..with 300+ HO² + that meal you could go down for like 15 min. and get you one of these shark dinos,...they are like Unterwater Jets!

I laughed a bit at the hydroperoxyl radical (HO²) typo. Even if you meant H²O (Water) -.-

My favorite thing is that Clams that usually have pearls like the ones on the bottom of the ocean like to live near the shore for the warmer water, you know in real life right, but no lets put a major high end bottle neck resourse at the bottom of the ocean so that people have to use the most broken and game ending bug oriented mount in the game to get there only to be malled by 20 sharks that spawn when you click the pearls. What a joke...

I agree, it is frustrating....my tribe was stuck on that bottleneck as well. I beached 2 megladons...and took most all my points into melee damage, so i couldn't get half way to the bottom.

Then we discovered lazarus chowder. Problem solved.
