Cooking: "Submerge in Water"

I can't figure out what this means. Tried waterskins and bottled water. Really not sure what else to try.

servings is also a measurement, 3 servings of meat is actually 9 meat IIRC.

Same problem here. For the Rockwell Medical Receipe. It says 1/2 Dollop of Stimulant ( is in the pot) 2 handful for tintoberries (is in the pot), submerge in Water (I have put lots of water in it, but maybe 3 are not enough) and cook. But all I get from it is red dye.

Remove the charcoal as it cooks, that should work.

Just tried that, no luck.

I've only got them to work with the recipe in the pot followed but the items it requires in the order they are listed. I've also notice using wood will break it as you will get charcoal randomly.

thats all I can suggest. They do work they are just really picky.

Tested that out to no avail (except using a fuel other than wood, still need to test that).

The ark wiki says all cooking needs at least a waterskin and about 3 wood burning length time to cook.

My personal guess is that you were close to the idea of adding more water aka: more skins.

That isn't the particular recipie I'm trying to complete, but there are indeed several that use that silly water measurement.

Yeah, most people don't understand where's the problem and they bother checking recipes themselves.

I tried making Energy potion and i followed instructions perfectly, even had a note that translates the technicalities to precise units, but still i failed. Only problem that is unclear in the recipe is the freaking "submerge in water".

here's the recipe:

2 Handful of Azulberries
1/2 Dollops of Narcotic
Submerge in water
Cook in cooking pot

Here's the note that explains the terms:

Handful of Berries = 10 berries.
Dollop of Medicine = 4 medicine
Water = Any water container with at least 25% water

End result:

2 Handful of Azulberries = 20 azuls
1/2 Dollops of Narcotic = 1/2 * 4 = 2 Narcotics
Submerge in water = at least 25% water??
Cook in cooking pot

And i went overboard and dumped 200 azulberries ; 50 narcotics ; 2 full waterskins = NOTHING.
First mistake was i left charcoal in there so it made DYE, after that i removed dye every cycle and i burned 10+ wood without any result.

Only stupid part is that Submerge in Water, because it sounds weird and could require for recipe to be made underwater or something? i have no freaking idea...

I was able to figure it out. Turns out the two brew recipies are wrong in what they list. Experimentation got the correct ingrediants.

Medical Brew:
1/2 Dollop Narcotic (2 narcotic)
Handful of Tintoberries (10 berries)

Energy Brew:
1/2 Dolop Stimulant (2 stimulant)
2 Handfuls Azulberries (20 berries)


Also, I recommend just using sparkpowder as a fuel source. Easy to make and doesn't have charcoal as a byproduct.

Handful is 10 Berries. 1/2 Dollop Stimulant = 2 Stimulants. Take out any charcoal.
I'm fairly sure you need to put the recipe in the cooking pot too if you haven't tried yet.
Waterskin/Water jar works fine.

Use sparkpowder instead of wood. Burning wood creates charcoal, charcoal creates dye. Sparkpowder creates no charcoal.

Thatch doesnt create charcoal either. Very handy for when you're making recipes or kibble.
