Taming a dodo?

Hi, how do i tame a dodo without accidently killing it? Everytime i try to knock it unconsious i accidently kill it instead as they're quite fragile. :o

Pausing between punches seemed to have worked for me, was having the same issue.

barely pull the slingshot back. just far enough for it to launch at all

Try using a slingshot. You should be able to punch it unconscious as long as you haven't put any points into melee damage, but given the recent changes to torpor you might have to hunt down a lower level one. The slingshot should work fine, though.

they only sleep for 1min and narco berries does not do a thing so they are untamable

i tamed one... my question is, can i hatch a dodo egg somehow?

Eggs are awesome food as they last for ages if you store them on a dino and they fill you up well enough

You can tame it by simply hitting it into the head with fists only.Dont use a tool/weapon or you kill it. Slingshot is too powerful also. If you have 2 you can 2 things with them :
-use them as a supply of fertilizer for the small plots.
-use them to eat the eggs. The eggs are quite good, they keep hunger away for quite a long time.
things you need to know : is a pain in the ass to bring them home,they are very very slow.and die fast.You dont need 2 to get a supply of eggs.Both female and male deploy eggs even if you have only 1 specimen. Quite funny fact.

No . Eggs will be used in later recipes. For the moment all you can do is eat one as fast as it lands :)

you have to take a rpg and then trow a nuclear bomb
