Requested Feature: Salvaging crafted items

To make the best use of all our hard earned resources, I'd like to request some way to salvage or breakdown any crafted item back to their default resources. This way when we upgrade from thatch to wood or cloth to hides (or whatever else) then we don't have to just lose all those materials from the items we no longer use.

I think this already works with breaking down housing structures cause last night when I broke down about 8 wood walls I found myself unable to walk cause I was so weighted down with wood... but I'm talking more with tools, weapons and armors or anything in general that we craft.

It only makes logical sense if we can craft items then we should be able to break them back down and use the materials for other items. Right?

I agree, with the amount of weaponry as well as tools my tribe is getting from the supply pylons in the game we are actually running out of space to store them. They would be much more useful if we could break them down into usable components.

Also let us move our furnitures around!!! I hate having to move all my things to a different box to demolish the floor which will demolish anything on top of it.

@fatputtycat Agreed, this needs to go into the correct forum, but the tactful way to state this would have been to also state the forum name. I don't prowl these forums so I don't know what the 'correct forum' name is called. Just saying. No offense intended.

@Nibiru OMG YES! Need to have a reclamation bin, or salvage table or some way to break down crafted items even if it's with a percentage of material loss for the salvage.
