I think they starve faster if you can keep them knocked out but let torpor drop as low as you are willing to let it go. when raising torpor i notice the hunger drop faster so keeping it at max torpor slows it down.

In my experience the food meter decrease rate goes up whenever you're feeding it Narcoberries or Stimberries (names are probably mispelled, black and white ones). White decreases Torpor, while Black increases it. So essentially you can boost the food decrease rate with either, but you want to keep the Torpor high enough to keep them knocked out. Giving Narcoberries while their Torpor is max does not give the increased food consumption bonus, so you can bring it down a bit with the Stimberries, then raise it back up with the Narcoberries. Just be careful to not feed it too many Stimberries at once, as the amount of Torpor removed is calculated before any is added back.

It starves faster when torpor is lower. So if you feed it stimberries to sorta wake it up it will starve faster. Just make sure you have narcoberries or narcotics ready or that your ready to beat it with a club so it doesn't wake up.

There is no way to do it faster, besides using server mods.

I agree... we did many experiments, but so far everything we did just made it feel faster, but time wise took the same time...

you cannot speed it up

Also the devs themselves stated that there was no way to speed the process, to tame faster use better food that's the only way I'm affraid.

Actualy it dosent make it faster it just renders it faster( smaller amounts but more often)
it cannot starve faster than the set time. all suggestions are false

Its not faster. The food drain is on a timer regardless.

The only way to speed up the starvation so that taming speeds up, is to play with a mod that gives you some form of food draining feature. Super Tranq Rifle and Darts for example 1shot ko's and drops food to almost 0 so that taming is virtually instant. Other mods use enhanced narcotics(Annunaki has one called Sedative Narcotic) that not only drops the food to 0 but also caps the unconsciousness in the process. Annunaki though is an overhaul mod adding many things so that may not suit you but there are potion only adding mods that would.

Just go to the ark workshop section and search around unless someone wants to cite/link specific ones that may suit you.

This thread is two years old.

I'm pretty sure you can still feed stim berries to drain food, therefore tame faster at the cost of pretty much all of your taming efficiency (bonus levels)

Or use a mod and have that not occur :P

That's a myth that was busted a long time ago. Stimberries do not make the taming any faster
