Item Quality Levels
Been experimenting with item quality levels in singleplayer and finding some interesting results. For example, a 700% damage QL100 Ascendant Longneck Rifle can one-shot a Bronto in the head. My question is, how high a quality can we reasonably get in-game?

I've found blueprints that are better than the standard engram in multiplayer and use them extensively, but the best I've found is a 117% bow blueprint. These all came from supply drops or cave monsters. I don't know what the actual quality is though, as they all still come out as Primitive. Do boss monster like the brood mother drop higher quality gear?

Another thing I noticed is that armor penalties get increased at higher quality rather than decreased. For example, a QL100 suit of flak armor has a -75 cold modifier, making me hypothermic/freezing whenever I wear it, even in a high-heat area. Is this intended?

Finally, do structure blueprints have a quality, ie more damage resistance, or do they just exist so you can build them without learning the engram?

Wish this had gotten answers, I'm curious about item quality as well. Do you need special engrams to get more then basic quality? Does crafter level matter?
Well, I can confirm that they fixed the improper temp resistance rating on armor. It gives better protection now, not less.

also might want to check those items as blueprints. smithies/fabricators can only hold so much weight (for now at least) so if the item takes say 500+ iron to make... you will never be able to make it. smithies i think have 350 lb weight limit and the fabricator has a bit more but from some screenshots i've seen the repaire costs alone would be too heavy for them.
Yeah, very much wondering if this is the final scaling.

Also, seems pretty random as well. Spawning items at QL x in SP gives VERY random values. Had a QL100 Ascendant Assault Rifle with 107% damage and one with 600% damage.

Highest bonus I have found anywhere in-game atm is a 20% bonus chitin helmet.

I wonder if there is ever a chance that "normal" crafted ones will ever be better then they normally would.

Doesn't seem that way. Seems like the only way to get upgraded weapons and armor is the blueprints, which makes me question learning weapon engrams at all.
