Pteranodon's taking forever to tame, glitch or intended?
So I've dropped a couple pteranodon's and usually with any carnivore I'll go around killing rex's and stegosaurus's for their prime meat. The problem seams to be that 2 minutes is not enough time for a pteranodon they seam to loose hunger extremely slowly so the taming process can take up to 3 real life hours depending on the level. And most of the time my prime meat will be wasted because it will expire before they get hungry enough to eat again.

Anyone else experiencing this and is this intended? They eat a lot slower compared to every other dinosaur I have attempted to tame.

They eat slow, but the 1 bite raises bar a lot. It's just the way they are.

their topor goes down extremely fast crashing or server reset means loss of tame cause of the insane loading time this game has( loads zones you dont even need atm making it agonizing)

U shouldnt tame a pteranodon with Prime meat it spoils in 2 minutes..

I would suggest that u tame a couple of female dodo's and make kibble out of there eggs. Easy to do and quite fast..

Pteranodon are easy to tame so I do not understand why u use prime meat for it.

Although not quite as effective as raw, cooked prime is a good alternative. When collecting prime cook it up fast in a fire pit and it will significantly increase its shelf life. Kibble is best, but also requires veggies which you won't have in the early game.

Early game I use a raft with several x plants, a firepit, and a preserving bin on board. The plants kill, I harvest and cook the the prime as I get it, and stick it in the preserving bin. Soon I have many stacks of cooked prime for taming and even enough for making jerky. Easy peasy. Maybe try that?

It's also a good idea of you're using prime is to leave it on a dino (or your fridge), not in your inventory.
