Farming wood quickly

Hey guys, i'm building a bigger base than my actual cause we got more than 20dinos in & not enough place. I need near 8000 woods to build it ( maybe more). It's long, very long & their is not a lot of wood in a tree.
So as the tittle say, do you got any tips for farming woods faster ( I know it's faster with a metal hatchet) ?

yup....metal hatchets..and bring trikes to carry....craft the walls/celings..etc while you're out getting the wood..as this reduces the weight....rinse repeat

Yeah, that's what i'm doing actually, but it's still very long, wanted new tips, maybe some dinos can cut woods faster as the Trike ( but the trike give you more thatch than woods)

Apparently stegos knock down trees quickly and provide more wood than thatch? I don't know for sure though, I haven't tamed a stego.

We got one, but the problèm is, we can't get it out of the base, their is like an hitbox pb,he can't go out from the wood dino gate. My friends are not here to help me today, so i'm alone, and i don't want to break 6 walls each time I go out with him :s

Yes mammoths. Then if you are high level bronto saurus. But Mammoth is the best wood farmer till you get bronto.

No i'm 41 actually, I'll got for mammoths then, hope they can cross a Dino gate without bugs,

I bet you still might need a behemoth gate for the mammoths. Glad to know that they're the best at harvesting wood though, might go looking for one tomorrow. :D

Is there a bigger dino gate? I even have trouble getting my Trikes through them sometimes. I always have to ride the Trikes through the gate. They can't seem to pathfind through it on their own.

I'm hoping that a larger dino gate will be available at some point in the future. A metal variant would be nice.

MAmmooths dont fit in regular gates! But they are actually strong enough to protect there self from raptors and carnos. We have a sarco a stego and the mammoth staying in front of our gates on neutral they do a goodjob together^^

The Behemoth gate is larger than the regular dinosaur gate. It's a very high-level engram though apparently.

Just looked it up, the behemoth gate requires level 55. I don't know what kind of materials it takes either.
