What's the point of prime meat?
You have literally two minutes before the entire haul spoils. This means that unless you are actively hunting brontos/megalodons/whateverelsedropsit in the immediate vicinity of where you intend to use it it is absolutely worthless for anything other than a time efficient but needlessly difficult way of acquiring spoiled meat. Is there something I'm missing or have I pretty much nailed it?

Bring a tamed dino when hunting prime, and put the prime in the dino inventory. It will raise the time before spoil to like 9 min or so

I guess I'll give that a go next opportunity I get but that might be a tad risky when hunting brontos.

That's also what they said about eggs and it wasn't true. Eggs also have a shelf life of like, three real days.

Yes it is, the Taming Bar gets a good Buff.

I self used it and can confirm this.

Yup but it spoils in 2 minutes if you carry it and 10 minutes on an herbivore. Which is kind of hunt for it at the moment you are taming as you dan't store it longer and prepare to have a bunch of those stored for taming like you can with other meat/berries.

But this spoiltimer is the only ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up, meats spoils way to fast even on a dino. 5 raw meat on our dilos and 3 pieces spoils only 2 get eaten. Something they will have to look at when balancing stuff..

Where are the giant bronto nests and eggs? I want to sleep inside an eggshell the size of a car after gorging myself into a proper food coma!

Prime Meat gets a rather large boost to its spoil time when it is cooked. it lasts longer then regular cooked meat if i remember correctly
Dragnelus Jun 12, 2015 @ 4:59am
cook it. It will be 1 hour then

But does cooked prime still give a good boost to taming?

And don't forget, once you get the fridge/freezer it should also be better. Or even the salt bin they are meant to be adding..

you dont carry prime meat with you, while you tame a t-rex for example you take down a few bronto around and it will boost the t-rex tame bar by a lot.

Reddit has a dino science thread and they confirmed cooked prime meat is about 2x as good as regular, but raw prime is 4x on carnivores.
