Game Breaking Tribe Bug... Please Help Devs!

Hi Guys, First I want to say thanks for this game! Other than the extremely low FPS (on a 780ti with all settings at low) and PvE against Dinosaurs that skip around your screen, this game is awesome.

However we have uncovered a truly annoying bug that we consider Game Breaking:

Every night when we log off, our entire Tribe is disbanded, including our Tribe leader. This means NOTHING belongs to us anymore. Not our buildings, not our mats or crafted items stored within, not our Dinosaurs, Nothing.

In fact, the other day I logged off while inside our base, so that Griefers wouldn't walk up on my unconscious body and kill me for fun. Of course all of my stuff was placed in a Large container and my Dinosaurs locked up "safe" in our storage pen. I log back in the next day and once again ALL of us are kicked out of our Tribe. I am now LOCKED inside my own building with absolutely no way out. My stone axe or pick cant damage a wood door. All my mats are placed in a lock box behind another closed door.

if it werent for a friendly tribe happening upon me, that happened to HAVE A METAL AXE, I would probably still be slowly starving and locked inside my own base without even a way to kill myself...

Every day its the same thing. Our entire Tribe, including the leader, gets kicked out of our Tribe and now EVERYTHING we worked so hard for NO LONGER belongs to us.

We also have had a problem when one of our Tribe members decided to leave us to join another Tribe. Even though he was NOT the leader of our Tribe, when he left our and joined the other ALL OF OUR STUFF, buildings, Dinos, everything locked up in storage chests, EVERYTHING we owned and worked for, was transferred to his new Tribe.


I love this game, but i dont have the patience to have to start over every single time I play the game. Other Tribes dont seem to have this problem, yet we do, without fail, every time.

I would really appreciate a response from the Devs on this, with either a work around for us, or the fact that they are aware of this bug and plan to fix it asap. As it is right now, this makes the game pointless except maybe to simply level up your character.

bump, still happening. Although the odd thing is it happens only if I am logged of for a certain amount of time. I hop off for about 1-2 hours I am fine, 5-6 and I am locked out

This just happened to my friends and I. We may have just lost 50 hours or so of steady construction and expansion. Tools to set structure ownership adminside would be reaaaaaally helpful.

I don't know. :( The patch notes from 170.2 (I think?) said they fixed something like this, but I guess it's still floating around out there. Right now we're just tooling around elsewhere on the island, hoping we can reclaim our main base, or at least hear something about possible fixes, before we go ahead and wipe the world and start over.

I had this issue then it randomly went away, but what I did while it was happening was put on codes on all doors and chests so that if you get jacked from the clan you can still go through doors and get gear! If your tribe isn't built up that much I suggest starting a new one, wasn't so bad for me as it didn't affect tribe leader.

Interesting. This seems like a great way to make sure you can at least access your stuff.

Ever since my Tribe completely disbanded and started over with a new leader and a new name we have not had this problem again.

If people are still having trouble with this I highly suggest the owner of the Tribe boot everyone and then disband the Tribe. Have someone else start a new Tribe under a new name and invite everyone. You wont get your old stuff back (unless of course you still own it at the time you do this) but it should stop the problem from happening again.

this also happen to me, unofficial server.

the method that I have found to restore my ownerships for now, is to make a new tribe with a generic name (I use the default Tribe whatever they put in the box when you goto tribe creation screen) then i set every setting to personal, personal dino, tribe ridden, personal taming, personal building with tribe snap and admin demo, but I leave with Tribe Pin

then accept the settings and leave the admin page

then go back into it

change the Tribe Name to the name that it is supposed to be

and then leave the page

it work for me to regain owner of the buildings and dinos

BUT YES, ITS A DAMN ANNNOYING BUG, AND ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE SOMEONE STEAL MY TRIBE FROM ME BY FOLLOWING MY STEPS ABOVE WHEN I AM OFFLINE.

only reason that I am including this in forum is hopefully that it help the devs to figure out what is wrong so that IT STOPS HAPPANIN TO US FFS.

yes this tribe bug is still happening, theres a sticky of it in the bugs section of forums that acknowledges it but offers no solution other then do not invite or promote players to your tribe for now.

Dude happens to me all the time, and whats worse is i forgot about this like 3 days later then i join a ark play for like 5 hours straight leave rejoin later and im not in tribe despite just me in it

Also another glitch i found is that when i logged on all structures and dinos in game even from others players belonged to me, now this does sound cool but i got raged on and raided consistently PLZ ARK FIX IT ALREADY

Ok, this just happened to me for the second time. I logged out and logged back in to find that I'm not in my tribe anymore for no reason at all. Now I can't close the door to my tribe's base an am at risk of being raided. Wish the dev's would be halfway interested in major bugs like these.
