As would I. That is one of the items of concern I had when I first started settling in an idealistic setting with lush foliage, any significant amount of people settling in the same area (like a tribe) would rapidly deforest an area with no ability to replant :(

Trees regrow pretty quickly.

They do have a nice mechanic for this, but I believe having the ability to do a bit of planting would be nice, or reduce the radius from structures that they don't grow. Seems like the area around my base is getting less and less lush as time goes on. Which, is pretty realistic in my opinion, but would be nice for us to plant our own.

+1 to all of these ideas. Yes please, let us plant trees!

Do trees, berries, stone, rock respawn over time ?

Yes. At a certain radius away from your structure.

+1 bump.

Not sure if I'm correct, but it seems only bamboo regrows; trees don't?

Maybe it's inland trees grow back, and coastal trees do not? I have cut down a large area in my single player near the beach, and not a single tree has regrown in over 20 hours play time in this same area.

Single player bug maybe? Can anyone confirm it's actual tree's regrowing, and not bamboo (which i mistook for trees early game)??

It seems to me the big giant stupid bolders that one mines respawn far faster than any trees do, much to my annoyance.
I'n the area I"m in now I don't want the damn giant boulders re-spawning as they ruin the scenic view from my porch.
Burp.
So, I found a solution. Build a thatch foundation about where the damn things respawn, they seem to shy away from re-bouldering the area after that.

Tress just seem to take for fraking ever to re-spawn. Im' talking the big giant humongous
trees that only spew out 4 or 5 hunks of wood when you choop them down.

So stupid.

I have seen a lot of the smaller palm-looking trees regrow, even very near the beach. There was a forest of large trees a little ways away from my base and very few, if any, of those taller trees have regrown. Bamboo does indeed grow back as well.

Ahhh, I wasn't considering radius of structure, if that is the case the radius is quite far. I deforested an area around my tiny hut and I ts a large area that has Stayed clear.

I'd like to be able to replant them, I understand them not regenerating too close, tho.

I do see some regrowth of the palm looking trees, and do provide some wood, but it would be nice to kinda control where the trees grow so you don't have to run for miles to get more wood.

Dev's please allow us to plant trees, personally i want some greenery around my place.

but allow for choice to be asthetic or resource... it would help people get some cammo from raiders in a heavy populated area who deforest a entire region, especially from above.

yea, planting tree's (in my opinion) is going to be more of a base hiding utility than a resource farm.

I want it =P

Yeah... planting trees would be nice (or at least decrease the area in which trees around a building dont respawn!) :D
