Megalodon size?
Just me or does it look like a great white shark...? XD like... arn't they supposed to be... bigger? :p and now we're talking about sea creatures, do they have more sea creatures in this game than Megalodon, a fish a saw and a big piranha? I saw a massive crocodile 3 days ago, scarred the ♥♥♥♥ out of me when I was near a lake trying to survive at night :p but are there like HUGE sea monsters lurking deeper into the ocean?

I just RP it as that Megalodons that we see near the beach are Baby megalodons that prey on smaller stuff and to survive from the bigger preds from the ocean

They will be adding marine reptiles such as Elasmosaurus soon.

That could be a thing, lets just hope theyre "baby's" then XD cause Megalodon was atleast 2 times the size of those things :p

They're still Megalodons. And they are actually extremely accurately sized in the lower average as seen here in this image.

They really don't need to be any bigger...

The estimated maximum size of the megalodon was 18 metres, but like all creatures, the majority of any species are not the maximum size. All biological traits fall within a bell curve, and just as you find 7ft + tall humans, the majority are something like 5.6. So, I think the in-game megalodons are probably not too far off.

ya im probably just retarded or blind xD
I don't have any problems with the size of the current Megalodons, provided, as many people have speculated, that these coastal megalodons are the juveniles. If these are the biggest, however, and they add marine reptiles like the Plesiosaurs and Mosasaurs at 45-60 feet long, it would be rather anticlimactic. Granted, like any animal, there would be a range of sizes across the species, but I'd venture to say the largest Megalodon so far has been MAYBE 35 feet long, slightly over half of the size estimated at the upper end of the scale for Megalodons. Megalodons were quite possibly the largest carnivores to exist, and as a person very partial to sharks, I'd be rather disappointed to see them diminished and misrepresented.

I think I remember the devs saying they plan on having varying sizes for the sharks later on. They're more like place holders for other species at the moment (hence why there are so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ many of the bastards in the water right now). The elasmosaurus, mosasaurus, and soon to be shastasaurus will all be pretty big (bigger than the current megalodon sizes hopefully) and since the mosasaurus's dossier said that it inhabits the deeps, I'd expect the larger sharks (if they do indeed implement size variations in the sharks) would be out there as well to contend the heavyweight sea croc for apex oceanic predator. :P
