DEVS: Fortitude what does it do please explain haha
Ok so i have over 130hrs played on this game i absolutely love it and im still learning so much and figuring things out, but for the life of me i cant see what the stat foritude does for me? I can see what every other stat does after i put a point in them, eg HP goes up 10 or Movement speed when i spend points in it i feel faster, so i ask you please how can i tell what Fortitude is doing for me!

Id like a straight answer or some kind of hint from the devs or team behind the game please, not to sound rude but i dont want answers from people just guessing i have 10 points into Fort i dont know if its weather or if i dont get drained as fast i mean how can i tell? i still get frozen when my tribe mates do with them not having any points into it ><

Anyway would appreciate a reply from a solid source cheers lads keep up the great work cant get enough of this game <3

fortitude prevents you from knock out

biggest things, takes longer for you to be "knocked out", weather doesn't bother you as much.

Not too sure myself but usually fortitude translates to defence, so my guess is pumping points into fortitude means you'll receive less damage from dinos/players

Also explains the shield symbol it uses, but as I said, not too far in it myself, maybe someone else can clarify?

Then the description on Fortitude, needs to be changed, as it states other things as well (Which when tested; it doesn't seem to actually do or it is very much non-noticeable)...
Hence the confusion among many people in regards to this..

Yeah its for torph... That you can take to the bank don't think a "solid source" or dev really has to come and visit each and every one of these simple easily answered by most the player questions. Not belitiling it but its a simple question with simple answer.

So Zalzany if i put points into it and have someone shoot me with a tranq the tranq shot should do less to me the more Fort i have? if this is what i think you're saying then you are wrong mate ive done numerous tests and yeah this was one of them thank you tho for your simple post

Doesn't affect Torpor stat, so it's hard to justify saying it affects it. The only visible change is a trivial modifier to your temperature tolerance.

Well, FortitudeTorpidity(Increase|Decrease)Multiplier is a thing. Is it in game? Does it do anything? Who knows!

exactly which is why i would love a quick reply from someone on the team behind the game to let me or everyone know cheers <3

One thing it does directly affect is your hyperthermic and hypothermic resistance.
It raises each by 1 per fortitude point.

Yeah, I'm at fort 20 and still have a hard time telling a difference in game vs the temps. Anyone have any observations on various amounts having an impact on the temps?

you'll still be overheated or cold...but the hit to your health will be negligible with higher FORTs.
Dudeus Jun 18, 2015 @ 8:12am
Look up the word "fortitude" that should explain itself
Viivrabe Jun 18, 2015 @ 8:14am
i have tested it with a friend he had 10 points i had 6 both of us ate a nark berry and he ended up with less torp then i did, i think it was 4.8 vs 4.6, so 2 levels in it had very little effect but it still had an effect. we both wanted it for the weather resistance anyway

Seems to do very little for the investment. I would rather see fortitude made more effective (vs environmental factors at least) over seeing armors get buffed vs environ to make the stat more worth it and/or to reward those that bump the stat.
