What do you do at night?
I really didn't mind night time when I first started playing, using a torch provides plenty of light to let you move around and see where you're going, and I'd just stock up on berries or go to a loot drop. Now I have ankylos overflowing with berries and I've got pretty much everything I need out of the loot drops. I mostly just find myself in my house alt+tabbed doing something else for 15 minutes until the sun comes back out

I'm curious what everyone else does

I try to get all my crafting done at night because if I step outside I freeze and my food meter drops like crazy. Even with my torch out beside a firepit. There's absolutely nothing I can do to warm up at night. I either craft, or log out for the night and come back in 15.

Gather fiber, watch for appropriate level air drops, cook raw meat into cooked using 3 fires. Use the mortar for sleepy juice. Tasks that are not difficult to do by the light of 4-5 standing torches. I normally keep a regular torch on me too, but eh.

I farm toothpicks from the neighboring tribes corpses. They never see it coming...

I use the beaches near my base I know well and patrolled during the day, and go pick herbs with a torch near them, or I go in the base make narco, cook meat, use up mats to get some tiny bits of exp making garbage I toss out to decay. I also go to the restroom, check stuff, look at ingrams and think of what I want to get next levelm or read up on stuff about the game.

Since i play on a small server with friends. I focus on using my trike to gather berries during the night. Also i tame quite a few dinosaurs as a past time. I also harvest trees during this time. as the night is the coolest time for gathering wood. use the sky to your advantage to make it easier to see everything you hit. Atm just taming a raptor.

Though the best thing to do during the night is farm and gather stuff on your raptor (so you can make a ton of narcotics) :3

Crafting, cooking, base maintenance, and IRL stuff. It's breaktime for me unless there's work to be done.

Same as during the day. I embrace the darkness. It means I can move unseen and safely.

WRRRRRYYYYY

I went into the wood at night with my trike yesterday to chop wood for my house.
Just hoped that no raptor or worse shows up and kills me and my Berta.
Was hard to even see the trees, but I just looked up into the sky, to see where to leaves are and moved slowly to the trunk.

Had luck about the predators. None was interested about someone chopping wood ^^

Well, since I play only PVE server types and a lot of solo single play mode:

If it is a bright moonlit night in a non tree covered area I do some scrounging on occasion.
Maybe do a bit of craft work , tend to some farm dinos.....

But more lately I tend to park my character in the cabana on 2nd floor, admire the
sky for a bit, then tab out to desktop (using fullscreen windowed mode in game)
and browse the internet or go do something around the hacienda.

If I was on PVP I'd probably not do that last bit much, it wouldn't be healthy as
hoolligans like to come out at night and rampage the hood.

I light a signal fire on my tower and go back out to gather more resources, never get lost.

Basically regear and repair for the next mission in the day. I cook food, repair all weapons and armor, use extra flint / stone / charcoal to gain levels making gunpowder and such.
