Game doesnt load up to any kind of menu? please Advise...

So everytime i click play a screen shows up that says ark: Survival with a bunch of company logos at the bottom but nothing happens after that.... it just stays like that without any main menu popping up or any other clickable buttons.... Am i doing something wrong here? been trying to play since it came out hoping an update would fix the problem....
