So Torpor doesn't matter for dinos?
So it seems torpor for dinosaurs doesn't mean a damn thing. After trying to tame my 4th trike (2 instantly died the moment they hit 100% taming), I had it pop up with less than 10% left to go and almost 50% torpor. If it wasn't for the fact that it takes hours to tame these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I wouldn't be so pissed off.

Seriously, is this going to get fixed soon? I can deal with the blinding glare you get off of everything, but wasting literal hours due to this is infuriating. The game seems rather polished for early access, but come the ♥♥♥♥ on. Torpor is the most useless ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing in the game right now if it doesn't work for dinosaurs like it does for us. 1% torpor for your character? Nope, you're still out. Gotta wait. 45% for dino? ♥♥♥♥ it, time to wake up!

After 50% they can come back up at any point. Don't let them get that low.

Keep them over 65% torpor as a safety measure to keep them out. I trained my tribe newbies by giving them 250 narcoberries, 100 meat, and told them to keep a carno I KO'ed above 65% torpor. It was a great learning experience for them and it gave me a chance to log off and go to sleep

Dinos waking up randomly when under 50% is a known mechanic but I do think that percentage should be lowered. Maybe more like under 30%

Rather than randomly having them wake up at or below 50% it would be cool if they had a check every 2 seconds with it becoming higher % chance of waking up as the torpor goes down below 50%

This is why i starve my dino first before i start taming it.
1)knock out dino
2)leave it alone and start gathering food
3)check on it once in a while
4)if torpor is low but dino is still has alot of food in him feed it narcos to keep him under while he starves alittle more (i never let torpor go unfer 25%)
5)if hunger is finally low then (food at 10% is low enough for me) then i start putting food in dinos inventory
6)watch the taming bar fly up!

This method allows you not to lose taming bar just in case your dino wakes up randomly because you did not start feeding it immediately. In this process if he wakes up no problem just knock it out again and continue steps above.

They might as well shave off say 30% of a dino's torpor and make it so it can wake up at 10% or less. Kind of no reason to ♥♥♥♥ up a decent game with something as broken as this. It's almost as bad as stats having no reason as there's no base. Everything is completely relative. Dillos have 300% movement speed yet they can't keep up with a raptor of 110% speed. What is the 300% for? It's not 300% of my movement speed. The 110% from a raptor is far faster. If it's a base stat for the dino then 300% isn't 300%. It's 100%.

Simple things like this can be very easily resolved in the code. It shouldn't ever have happened.

Starving method is pointless the time it takes to starve is the same time it would take for the bar to rise that high anyway lol so infact you are spending more time taming

It's not general movement speed. 100% on a dilo is not 100% on a trike etc. the 150% etc etc. It's the particular animals standard speed.. 100% is just the base speed all beings have. Its not the same speed, only the same percentage. Nothing in common except being movement speeds.

agee but my point was not on taming time. It was about not feeling the sting of losing taming bar if your dino wakes up in the middle of the process.
